A Time of Magic

My very first printer was an Epson FX80 way back in 1982.

The epson printers have gone up and down in the printer wars over the years. Through most of the 1980s they were the printer to get but they lost their massive lead with the move to inkjet and laser printers after that when HP took the baton from them. That’s changing now though with Epson rapidly staging a come-back over the last year or two.

Back in the 1980s HP needed to provide compatibility with Epson, now it’s the other way around. Will we see that switch round once more in the next few years?

Nothing really.

People die every year with flu. In big numbers too. Massive numbers compared to those that are dying with swine flu.

The difference is that when they die with swine flu it hits the headlines. Moreover, there’s endless digging into the causes of why they died which just doesn’t happen when someone dies with “the flu”.

So, for example, you have the endless questioning as to whether or not those dying had an underlying health problem. There’s the implication that if they did have an underlying problem of some kind that their death doesn’t matter which doesn’t seem right. Granted, people die, but it doesn’t seem right that they die with something so seemingly trivial as the flu.

Sometimes is the short answer.

In fact, whether they work for you will depend on what you need them to do. It’s no use just looking at “diet pills” as you need to first work out what you need them to do then choose the category of diet pill that will do that.

So, if you need something to absorb the fat that you eat, then it’s no use going for a pill that’s designed to burn the fat.
