If you’ve booked a flight on a discount airline lately you’ll find that travel insurance is probably one of the most heavily sold insurances around. In fact, working out how to get out of paying it is second only in difficulty on the sites to working out how to pass on express bording when you’ve no checked bags.

The reason for this is quite simple: the travel insurance sold by many of the discount airlines isn’t worth the paper that it’s printed on because it has so many get-out clauses and limitations in the contract. For instance, you can find that it’ll only pay out the amount of the plane ticket ie excluding all those taxes and other charges that they add on. Can’t you reclaim those? In theory, yes, in practice, no as they add on an “administration charge” which means that it’s not worthwhile.

All that isn’t to say that travel insurance isn’t worthwhile. It’s just that you should buy it from actual insurance agents rather than the travel company you’re going with. There you’ll find policies that cover what you expect to be covered and usually at much less cost than what you get from a travel agent.

Thankfully I’ve not had to deal with having a child with cerebral palsy which sounds like pretty much the worst thing your child could have.

Anyway, that explains why I didn’t know that it can sometimes be caused by mistakes made by the medical professionals attending the birth. If that might apply to you it’s best to look towards the special cerebral palsy lawyers who can check up on the potential cause for you and if it’s down to negligence then you could be in for quite a substantial payout which would go a long way to assisting you in caring for your child.

The problem with the explosion in the number of diet pills is that it’s now become really confusing to select one.

That’s where the review sites come into play. They generally run through the various options available so that you can look at a whole list of, say, fat burners or whatever and read about each of the pills in each of the categories too because these days there tends not to be a “typical” fat burner as most are blends that are aiming to attack more than one problem.

What you’ll usually find though is that they’re not overlly impartial so it’s best to look at a couple of sites to cut through the marketing hype that you sometimes get.
