What do you do if you’ve an addition and you want out of it?
Thursday, May 22nd, 2008Just about everyone tends to look down on addicts but getting out of an addition is far from easy.
Those looks of disdain really don’t help, of course, but finding encouragement in the early days of any attempt to clean up is next to impossible. Not only will it be difficult to find non-addicts to help you (even friends and family may reject you) but your fellow addicts won’t necessarily be helpful either.
What’s required is to get yourself into a supportive environment for the difficult times at the start and that’s when you need to get to a drug treatment center. These people have seen it all before and know that you can come through.
